Instructions
  1. Put a steamer basket in a large pot. Fill with water to just below the steamer basket. Bring to a boil.
  2. Place carrots in the steamer basket and steam for about 5 to 10 minutes or until desired degree of tenderness. Drain water and put carrots into a bowl and season according to your family’s tastes.
Recipe Notes

Chef’s Notes: One of Lesley’s favorite kitchen tools is her steamer. She has a double stack steam where she will steam both broccoli and carrots at the same time. Her broccoli takes 13 minutes and her carrots take 20 minutes. When her broccoli is done, she takes that tray out of the steamer and continues to steam the carrots.
