Ingredients
Dressing Ingredients (1 Tbsp serving)
  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp grainy Dijon mustard
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 3/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
Salad Ingredients
  • 1 head butter lettuce or other lettuce, broken into smaller pieces
  • 2 pears, cored and sliced, pick your favorite variety
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese
  • 1/2 cup candied or toasted nuts, pick your favorite variety

Instructions
  1. For the dressing, whisk together the white wine vinegar, mustard, honey, salt and pepper. Slowly whisk in the olive oil until the dressing is well combined.
  2. Divide lettuce between 4 plates. Arrange pears on top of lettuce. Sprinkle with cheese and nuts. Serve with dressing.
Recipe Notes

Simplify It: Buy candied nuts already prepared rather than making your own.

Make Ahead: This dressing recipe makes 16 servings (about 1 Tablespoon each) so you will have plenty of leftovers for future salads.

Mix It Up: If you are not a fan of the strong flavor of blue cheese, switch out to a milder flavored cheese, such as feta.
