Instructions
  1. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add almonds and cook for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  2. Heat the olive oil in the pan and add the green beans. Sauté until tender, about 5 to 10 minutes. Add the salt, pepper and toasted almonds. Toss well to combine and serve.
Recipe Notes

Chef’s Notes:  You can also buy a microwavable bag of French style green beans and cook according to package directions. Meanwhile, toast the silvered almonds. After the green beans are done, place in a bowl and toss with some extra-virgin olive oil, salt and almonds. Serve. You have a quick and easy veggie in less than 5 minutes!

Nutrition Nugget:  Did you know that just one ounce of almonds (about 20 almonds) has 6 grams of protein, 4 grams of “filling” fiber, and 13 grams of heart healthy monounsaturated fats? A time saving idea is to make up some small snack size baggies of 20 almonds so you can grab and go with a quick and healthy snack that’s packed with nutrition.
